Say hello to the most decadent, soul-fulfilling pork sammie you will ever bite into…
It’s hard for me to describe these Krispy Kreme pulled pork sammies without my mouth beginning to water. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are still my all-time favorite doughnuts. Getting one fresh off the shelf at the shop is one of my guilt pleasures.
This gives you the exact same warmed doughnut, but with crisp, caramelized edges and a hearty helping of the world’s best pulled pork. The coleslaw is the perfect addition to give you a cooling break from all the sweet, savory and gluttonous flavors.
All you have to do is toast some doughnuts and mix together some coleslaw. With barely any real cooking skill required, you really don’t have any excuse not to try it! Besides, how could you really resist this…?
Mix together coleslaw mix, mayonnaise and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste and set aside in fridge.
Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the Krispy Kreme donuts cut side down on the griddle or skillet. Cook until browned and the edges are crisp, approximately 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Place the bottom halves of the Krispy Kreme donuts on a lined baking sheet. Top each of the bottoms with pulled pork and a slice of cheese. Place baking sheet under the broiler set to high to melt the cheese, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from the oven, top each with coleslaw and the top halves of the donuts. Serve immediately.
